IBA Liners

Liners play a critical role in managing:
• Teat end health (mastitis control)
• Milking speed/completeness of milking
• Teat congestion

The Liner wall thickness, rubber hardness, and mounting tension are some of the factors in cow comfort and completeness of milking. IBA has been a leader in the industry for over 50 years and we are proud to carry their liners for the Canadian market. Our most popular and most commonly recommended liner is the DPX2 - it is part of the ProSquare series with its rubber compound, square barrel and patented designs.

IBA LPX Liners for Lely Robots

We have partnered with IBA out of the US to offer installation and the all new LPX square rubber liner for the Lely Robots in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Robotic milking has started to become more and more popular and we have seen very positive results for the cows. Robotic milking allows for more comprehensive data collection and options for optimizing milk production. The success and value we have seen using the ProSquare liners in the parlour setting made it a smart decision to use this technology to create a great square liner for robotic milking too. After a lot of trials, modification and improvements, we are happy to be working with the LPX liner on Canadian Dairy Farms.

System Evaluations

When we evaluate a Parlour or a Rotary we are primarily looking at the relationship between the milking equipment and the cows. In our experience there are a variety of things that help define successful milking. Some of these include:
• Milking Equipment (type, age)
• Equipment support (dealership and tech support, liner settings)
• Management style
• Cleanliness
• Consistency (liner changes, pre-milking procedures, teat dips)
• Vacuum settings & Pulsator ratios

We find simple inconsistencies that directly reflect on milk production and/or teat end health. Our goal is to evaluate and provide feedback that will help move your operation forward. Our processes, training and best practices come from industry experts and the National Mastitis Council.
